The Playstation Vita Release date is Februray 22^nd 2012 in America, Europe and Australia.

The PS Vita release date in Japan was Decemeber 17, 2011 with 325,000 units sold in the first few days.

The name Vita means life in Latin. This name for the console was confirmed by Sony in an announcement on 6^th June 2011 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The handheld console supports wi-fi, bluetooth and 3G.

The PS Vita memory is 512 MB RAM and 128 MB VRAM . You can also buy extra Vita memory cards from Amazon.

Playstation Vita touchscreen is 5 inches

The Vita is a light weight console at only 260 grams for the Wi-Fi and 279 Grams for the 3G version.

Your Vita internal battery should last 3-5 hours of gameplay and 5 hours of Video.

Vita apps are available to download such as Facebook, Skype and Twitter Apps.

Multiplayer games are available for the Playstation Vita.
